About Us
To facilitate liaison and collaboration within the voluntary and community sector and between the voluntary, public and private sector. To enable voluntary and community organisations to gain greater access to information, practical support services and facilities. VAS provides support with every aspect of running a voluntary organisation, a community organisation or a local charity.
What we do
VAS provides a wide range of services including a a wide variety of training courses for voluntary groups. A Disclosure & Barring Service(DBS) checking service, FREE funding and governance advice about how to setup a new group, including registering as a charity, with guidance on all aspects of running an existing group.
What we charge
There are charges for some of the services we provide e.g. a DBS checking service and some of our Training Courses. Please go to the VAS website for further information.
What we offer
An annual Community Fair is coordinated by VAS to help promote and showcase the wide range of support services provided by the voluntary and community sector.
