Minutes Secretary

Our Forum promotes the welfare and interests of the older citizens of the Borough and is run by an elected Management Committee who maintain apolitical and not-for-profit status and observe the principles of equal opportunities.
We hold quarterly Management Committee meetings and bi-annual Open Meetings and an AGM and we invite speakers to some of our Management Committee meetings.
No charge applicable
We offer administrative training as required and work references. The position affords an opportunity for networking with other voluntary and non-voluntary groups and organizations such as Healthwatch Swindon and Age UK.
You need to have: A reasonable level of English writing skills and an ability to detail or summarize ideas; Access to a computer and be able to use a word processor like Word for preparing and publishing the minutes; Volunteer 10 hours per quarter (after training); Be of working age. Training will be provided as required.

Terms and Conditions

Applicants need to accept and observe our Equality Policy. Although membership of the Management Committee is only available to residents of the Borough who are 55+, this position is open to non-members of any working age. Please see website for further details.
